Holly turned 4 on Nov. 6. She decided that she wanted a Tangled party. I found the idea for this invitation here and then I tweaked it a little bit to make it personalized to Holly.
We did pretty simple decorations. I found the idea for this braid here. It was a lot harder to make than I thought it would be, but we got it done.
We also bought a few birthday balloons.
As usual, Grandpa Brickey made the birthday cake and did an AmAzInG job! The tower was a little tricky and didn't want to stay upright. Holly loved it and is still talking about her Tangled cake!
A picture of all her gifts and her cake.
I put up some butcher paper so the kids could color a mural while we were waiting for everybody to show up.
I printed out a picture of Flinn Rider without a nose and the kids had to Pin the Nose on him. They had a blast doing this! Taylor and Luke are the only kids that didn't want to do it.
Then it was present time. As I was looking through the pictures I discovered that Holly had a straight face in almost every picture! Not sure how that happened, but she really was excited about all the fun stuff that she got. She got a lot of Tangled things and some art stuff among other things. Thanks to everyone who got her a gift!
Time to blow out the candles. She did a great job! We didn't want to move the cake in case the tower was going to fall, so everybody crowded into our tiny kitchen to sing to her and watch her blow out the candles.
The birthday girl enjoying her cake.
I love this picture of her! I think it was Neil that wrapped it around her, but I'm not positive.
Happy Birthday to my Princess!! I love you Holly!!

Halloween Overview
This year for Halloween Holly dressed up as Cinderella and Taylor dressed up as Boo from Monsters Inc. I made the Boo costume last year for my niece and thought it was too much work to only use it once.
On Oct. 28 we went to the Peterson Halloween party. The girls had a lot of fun. Taylor couldn't move very well in her costume so she didn't keep it on for very long.
The Monster and the Princess...
At the party they played the game where you have to eat a donut off a string. The girls thought that was great.
Our ward trunk-or-treat was on the 29th. They had games for the kids to play and then they did most of the trunk-or-treat inside because it was pretty cold. It was fun, but there were a lot of people there!
The whole family. I dressed up as Boo's door (Thanks to my fantastic sister!) and Holly told Neil that he was going to be a square, so he made a die costume.
On the 31st we went down to Payson and did some real trick-or-treating with Misty's family and my parents. The older kids couldn't get to the next house fast enough . It was a lot of fun.
We had a great Halloween this year and the girls are already planning next year's costumes.

Carving Pumpkins
After picking out the perfect pumpkin we had to carve them. The girls were a little unsure at first about sticking their hands into a slimy pumpkin.
I love this picture of Neil! Totally sums up his personality.
Taylor's face in this picture cracks me up!
She finally got up the nerve to try scooping out some of the stuff.
And then she didn't want to let anybody else have a turn.
Neil pulled out this chunk and thought it would be funny to put it on the girls. Neither of them were amused.
Holly still wasn't sure about touching it, so she used a spoon to scoop it out.

She loved helping Neil cut out the face.
Can you tell she takes after her dad? She thought it was hilarious that she pretended to eat this.
Holly's new smile.
The finished product.

And helping cut out the face.
Instead of a new smile, she thought the mouth was a telephone.
Her finished product.
All three pumpkins outside.
